Target Group: Part-66 Category A: line maintenance certifying mechanic.
Aircraft Engine: None.
Prerequisites: EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance License Cat. A or equivalent.
This course covers Airframe, Engine and Electrical elements in detail to ATA specification 104 Level 2 and Avionics Systems Level 1.Training includes:
- A description of controls and indicators
- Principal system components
- Servicing and minor trouble shooting procedures
Objectives:
Upon completion of the course, the participant will be able to:
- Describe the relevant safety precautions
- Perform an agreed list of tasks as specified in EASA part 145.A.50
- Describe aircraft systems and their handling, using proper terminology and nomenclature
- Identify the location of system components- Explain the normal function of each major aircraft system
- Identify and use appropriate aircraft documentation
- Describe routine ramp and transit activities
- Determine aircraft airworthiness in accordance with MEL/CDL, by using Crew report and/or onboard reporting systems
- State routine servicing procedures
- Use and interpret on-board diagnostics to a Line Replaceable Unit (LRU)
- Prepare technical personnel for company authorisation for A category
Closed book examinations will be conducted throughout the course. The minimum passing mark for the exam paper is 75 %. Participants will receive a Part-147certificate upon successful completion of the course.
