Content

This course covers Airframe, Engine and Electrical elements in detail to ATA specification 104 Level 2 and Avionics Systems Level 1.Training includes:

  • A description of controls and indicators
  • Principal system components
  • Servicing and minor trouble shooting procedures
Objectives

Objectives:

Upon completion of the course, the participant will be able to:

  • Describe the relevant safety precautions
  • Perform an agreed list of tasks as specified in EASA part 145.A.50
  • Describe aircraft systems and their handling, using proper terminology and nomenclature
  • Identify the location of system components- Explain the normal function of each major aircraft system
  • Identify and use appropriate aircraft documentation
  • Describe routine ramp and transit activities
  • Determine aircraft airworthiness in accordance with MEL/CDL, by using Crew report and/or onboard reporting systems
  • State routine servicing procedures
  • Use and interpret on-board diagnostics to a Line Replaceable Unit (LRU)
  • Prepare technical personnel for company authorisation for A category
Examination

Closed book examinations will be conducted throughout the course. The minimum passing mark for the exam paper is 75 %. Participants will receive a Part-147certificate upon successful completion of the course.
